Sunday Workshops
Back at Commonwealth Place

In 2011, Workshops will be held on Sunday June 12th

Dance Pacifica will host workshops on the day following the Gala Ball and Competition.  In 2011, it will be Sunday, June 12th and Benoit Drolet has agreed to conduct a couple of sessions in standard while Delphine Romaire will present a latin workshop.  For additional information on the workshops and these two highly acclaimed dancers, please see our Workshop page.

They will start at 10:30AM at Saanich Commonwealth Place.  Further information is available at our workshops page.

Commonwealth Place is only 20 minutes drive from the Swartz Bay ferry terminal and the Victoria International Airport.

Membership Renewal Time

A reminder to DSBC members that Dance Pacifica is the first DanceSport competition of the year.  Those wishing to compete will need to renew their membership either before or at Dance Pacifica.

Dance Pacifica Ball Schedule for 2011

Below are key dates for 2011.

Saturday, 11 June 2011 -- Full day of Competitions and Demonstrations
Sunday, 12 June 2011 -- Dance Workshops from 10:30am

A more comprehensive schedule will be posted during the final week leading up to Dance Pacifica 2011.  As of May 19, 2011, updates will occur weekly.

Daytime Dance Schedule

The daytime competitive schedule will feature the following events:

• Amateur adult and senior standard and latin competitions at the Newcomer to Silver levels;
• Juvenile, junior and youth standard and latin competitions at all levels;
• Pro/Am solo routines; and,
• Demonstrations from the Victoria Schools program.

Dinner Schedule

Dance Pacifica strives to support local business in the Royal Oak community and, this year we are pleased to announce that the buffet dinner will be held at:

For 2011, Dance Pacifica dinner tickets are sold separately from the Full Day Admission ticket. Therefore, any seat may purchase a dinner ticket. Purchase your dinner ticket early as there are a limited number of seats available.

The dinner usually commences around 5pm which allows enough time to enjoy your meal with friends and return to the Commonwealth facility in time for the opening ceremony at 7pm.

Evening Dance Schedule

The evening competitive schedule usually features the following events:

• Amateur adult standard and latin competitions at the Gold to Open Championship levels;
• Pro/Am competitions at Bronze and Silver levels; and,
• Amateur senior standard and latin competitions at the Gold to Open Championships.
