In 2011, Workshops will be held on Sunday June 12th

Dance Pacifica will host workshops on the day following the Gala Ball and Competition.  In 2011, it will be Sunday, June 12th and Benoit Drolet has agreed to conduct a couple of sessions in standard while Delphine Romaire will present a latin workshop.  For additional information on the workshops and these two highly acclaimed dancers, please see our Workshop page.

They will start at 10:30AM at Saanich Commonwealth Place.  Further information will be provided when it is received and more details will be available at our workshops page.

Commonwealth Place is only 20 minutes drive from the Swartz Bay ferry terminal and the Victoria International Airport.

Membership Renewal Time

A reminder to DSBC members that Dance Pacifica is the first DanceSport competition of the year.  Those wishing to compete will need to renew their membership either before or at Dance Pacifica.

Dance Workshops

Sunday June 12, 2011

We will have three workshops Sunday, at the same venue as the competition--the Saanich Commonwealth Place.

For Dance Pacifica 2011, there will be two standard workshops taught by Mr. Benoit Drolet and one latin workshop in latin taught by Ms. Delphine Romaire.  The times will be as below and the content will be updated when finalized.

• 10:30am - Shaping In The Waltz
• 11:30am - Movement In Foxtrot
• 12:30am - Cha Cha Locks And Fun Variations

Benoit Drolet has a long list of dance accomplishments and is well respected as an Adjudicator.  At his website you may peruse his credentials and more; please see DroletDance.

Delphine Romaire began a partnership with Dominic Lacroix in 1989 to train and compete in ballroom and latin american dancing.  Her accomplishments are equally as impressive as Benoit's and can be reviewed at the Elite Dance Studio's website.

All levels of dancers are welcome.

$15 per workshop; $40 for all three workshops.
